Machine wash:
light soil 20ml
medium soil 40ml
heavy soil 60ml

Hand wash:
Dilute 1–2 capfuls in wash basin. Soak for 5 mins & rinse in cold water.

Laundry liquid Bio can be used to hand wash delicates and cashmere. It is most often the mechanical action in the drum of the washing machine that causes damage to garments through stretching or abrasion against other garments. Hand washing prevents these two things from happening.

We would advise using mild, not too hot water as this may affect the fibres leading to shrinking/thermal shock. As well as a small dose of laundry liquid as not much will be needed to give great results in a small bowl/bucket. Gently working the laundry liquid and water through the garment will give the best results.

In the wonderful world of washing, ‘BIO’ is short for biological. When a product gets called ‘BIO’ or biological it means enzymes are on the scene.

The big boast of a biological product is boosted performance when washing cooler, working best just below body temperature (≤40 °C). Plus those enzymes can help catalyse grease & oil for all round better stain removal.

We asked the test tube crew at FILL HQ to make some notes on the things we make to help you choose what to use. First in the series for our new LAUNDRY LIQUID BIO.

We recommend taking your bag in box to the sink when you first set up.
Turn box perforated side face up (the big Fill logo facing up).
Push in with thumbs and remove circle.
For the neatest finish around the tap, choose to cut the perforated circle along the dotted line with a craft knife.
Reach into the box for the tap.
LOOK! If the tap is hard to reach, open the top of the box. pull the entire bag out & rearrange so that the tap is lined up with the perforated circle.

You’re almost ready to start filling.

Hold your bottle steady underneath the tap, over the sink.
For best results, we recommend using an easy pour attachment. This fits neatly inside any Fill bottle for fast, clean, easy refills. Watch video
Turn the tap slowly, just a quarter turn, to check there’s no risk of spills when you open it up all the way.
Start to close the tap before the bottle is full, to prevent any risk of overflow. It fills faster than you think, especially from a fresh full box.
Filling is slower when the box is running empty. When you’re down to the last litre, you can tip the box forwards to speed up flow rate, or apply pressure on the bag manually by removing it from the box.

After refilling, make sure to always close tap securely, all the way shut. Wipe the tap opening and the easy pour attachment to prevent stray drips.
Store box in a dry place away from anything too precious.
We recommend keeping tap side up, to prevent any accidental spills or tap twisting! We know from experience that kids sometimes like to turn on taps!
When the bag is close to running empty, open the box from the top and squeeze out the last bit of product.
Fold the empty bag (with tap still attached) and place it all inside the return box provided. Watch video

Return liners
we wash and reuse all plastic liners we get back from home refillers. All you do is freepost return the liner back to us when you’re done, using the flat-pack return box inside. We’ll wash it, refill it & send it out again. No tape & no stamps needed.

Paper tape
We’ve always only ever used paper tape printed with vegetable ink.

When you’re running low, pour out the last 500ml into your refill bottle. That’ll keep you going while you wait for a new box.

All you need to do is return the liner to the fill factory, so it can be washed and refilled.
