BLUE EARTH SUMMIT

04.11.2026FILL ON TOUR

Earlier this month we were topping up the washrooms at Blue Earth Summit at Woolwich Works. Our aim was to keep the bathrooms clean.  Your aim helped.

When we weren’t helping wipe out single use, we had a cool time floating around; listening, learning & seated at sessions to enjoy conversations, catch-ups with collaborators & closed-loop cistern co-conspirators. We like rolling with the 1% for the Planet & B Lab UK community, two organisations we’re proud to be associated with. We left feeling fresher.

Highlights from the summit included ‘Leading from The Edge’ by Kate Williams CEO at 1% For The Planet and ‘Purpose In The Time of Trump’ by Bronwen Foster-Butler CMO Finisterre, plus I loved listening to Hugo Inglis OLY from High Impact Athletes at ‘Game, Set, Grid: What Sport Reveals About The Future of Everything.’

Most of all, I’m glad I stuck around to see all six incredible charities pitch for the BE Impact Award on the main stage, won by the brilliant Thousand Year Trust but with equally wonderful & inspiring pitches from our pals REUSE Foundation (watch this space) and Made In Hackney.

Special thanks to Jamie Tickel for taking a chance on us to be part of the event, to the amazing cleaning team at Woolwich Works who were happy to keep the bottles on the sinks after we’d gone, to Laura Slack for always spreading the word about home refill so positively and to the wonderful FILL team for pulling together something ‘fit for the job’ at such short notice; cool, makeshift, high impact & low waste! That’s how we roll. It was a pleasure to be your resident bathroom attendant.

Until next year…
